It can be very satisfying 'getting it right' in-camera and Mark encourages this approach in his practical workshops. However, taking the image is only half the story. Due to the way that digital cameras render images, it is more important than ever to process them using specialist software like Adobe Lightroom Classic in order to get the very best out of each image. Improving your post-production skills can vastly enhance your images but where do you start?
Using the latest conferencing software, Mark can teach you Lightroom post-production from the comfort of your own home remotely. On an agreed date, Mark will send you a link via e-mail, which will allow you to see and hear each other as well as being able to interact with Lightroom remotely to illustrate a point. You can choose a short 1-hour session through to a full day to suit your needs.
If you have recently purchased a new screen calibrator and/or printer and would like help in setting these up Mark can help you do this remotely, too. Just get in touch!
Online tuition is also cleaner for the environment, too as there is no travelling involved for either person. For each session, Mark will contact you around 15 minutes prior to the start of the workshop to make sure you are all ready to go.
A typical Lightroom Classic 1-2-1 On-line session might consist of one or more of the following (depending on how many hours you book):
The above is typical of what you might like to learn from a session but as they are on a 1-2-1 basis they can be tailor-made to suit your specific requirements.
Mark has public liability insurance for negligence caused by him, which is underwritten by Chubb Insurance Company of Europe Ltd. You are strongly recommended to take out travel insurance in case of illness, accident, cancellation or any other factor outside of Mark's control (Terms and conditions apply - please contact Mark for written details).
I just wanted to say thank you for a great workshop in Glencoe, despite the weather! You are an excellent workshop leader with a high degree of professionalism, a methodical approach to landscape photography and the ability to adapt your teaching to your clients and the weather.

Thank you so much for such an inspirational day yesterday and for all your patience! I love my prints, thank you! I felt as though I achieved what I had set out to do and learn the principles of printing and look forward to giving things a go myself.

Hi Mark, Just a note to thank you again for such a wonderful week in so many respects. I so enjoyed the locations and the photography. Lots to process and think about again and some new exciting things to try. Your tuition and attention to detail is much appreciated and I always feel inspired again to get out with my camera. See you before too long in Yorkshire.

"Tell me and I forget.
Teach me and I remember.
Involve me and I learn."
“Mark Banks is quite simply one of the best teachers of photography I have ever met. His secret is an apparently endless supply of patience, and an acute analytical approach to developing systematic problem-solving tactics in photography, which he makes effortless and fun to learn, whether in the field or in the editing suite. Mark’s artistry, empathy, kindness and charm mean he is always a joy to work with, or to be taught by.”
