The accidental result of painting my home studio (mostly) black is that I have the perfect backdrop to frame delicate subjects like these tulips. The sidelight from the nearby window washes the subject with soft light and complimentary shadows. No focus-stacking, just simple compositions taken with a macro lens - softness, where applicable, creating an extra feeling of depth.
