I was pleased to find my 'Liquid Gold' image from Spittal in Northumberland was a finalist in the 2020 Close Up Photographer of the Year competition. I don't normally enter competitions but this relatively new competition caught my eye because I particularly enjoy creating close-up and macro images. 

This image is made up of 8 focus-stacked images processed in Lightroom and Photoshop taken with my Sony A7r camera and Carl Zeiss 50mm lens.
